Saugatuck Dunes State Park protects more than two and a half miles of pristine Lake Michigan shoreline, reached only on foot through forested dune trails. The reward for the walk is a wild, near-empty beach backed by some of the tallest dunes on the lake.
With miles of marked trails winding through woodland and over the dunes, it’s a favourite for hikers, birdwatchers and anyone seeking a quieter, untouched stretch of coast.
