We’ve been hosting guests in Southwest Florida since 2016, which means we’ve answered a lot of questions over the years. Here are the ones we hear most often — with honest, straightforward answers so you know exactly what to expect when you stay with us.
How does check-in work?
All of our properties use self-check-in with a keyless entry code or lockbox — details are sent to you before arrival. Standard check-in time is 4pm, and checkout is 10am, though we do our best to accommodate early arrivals or late checkouts when the schedule allows. Just ask when you book.
What’s included in the rental?
Every Mike Z Rentals property includes fresh linens, towels, and a starter supply of basic toiletries and pantry staples (coffee, dish soap, paper towels). Specific amenities vary by property — your listing page shows exactly what’s included. Many of our properties also include beach gear, pool towels, and parking.
Is there a minimum stay?
Most properties have a 3–7 night minimum, with longer minimums during peak season (December–April). We do offer shorter stays in some cases — contact us directly if your dates don’t fit a standard minimum and we’ll see what we can do.
What if something goes wrong during my stay?
We have a local team available throughout your stay. If there’s a maintenance issue, an appliance concern, or anything else that needs attention, contact us directly — we’ll respond quickly. Guests who book with us directly always have a real phone number and a real person on the other end of it.
Do you allow pets?
Some of our properties are pet-friendly and some are not. It’s clearly noted on each listing. If you’re traveling with a pet and can’t find a property that fits, reach out — we may be able to help find a solution.
Can I book for a group or event?
We have properties that accommodate larger groups, from family reunions to golf trips and corporate retreats. Multi-property bookings are also possible if your group needs more than one home. Contact us to discuss your group’s needs and we’ll put together the right combination.
Is it safe to book directly instead of through a platform?

We process payments securely, provide full rental agreements, and stand behind every property we manage.
